I've had an Australian friend staying with me for the week who did a work term with a local accounting firm starting back in January. We met through her co-worker, at church. God sure does have mysterious ways of bringing strangers together. We've bonded so well, and we'd never have met if I hadn't been doing Sunday School that day! It's strange, and I had no idea why God chose me...but I think He knew that down the road, I'd be available with an extra bed at a moment's notice (my friend ended up calling me late one night and stayed at my place at a moment's notice because her house was ransacked).

She just finished up her term and is getting ready to do some more travelling before heading back down under. It's been a great way to get to know her since she's been crashing at my place after her sublet ran out on her old place. It's so much fun listening to her talk, use her Aussie vocabulary, and laugh over misinterpreted usage of words! "Have a bludgey day and don't forget to wipe the benches!" Anyways, we got to hang out, talk, cook, have coffee/tea and we got along swell...now I've got a reason to visit Melbourne! :) I kinda miss her already. Happy travels, my friend!
